What are the Account Authority definitions?

AO/ Account Owner (Primary): This person has authority to open and close, and make any* changes to the account.     *except for removing joint owners

JO/ Joint Owner: This person has the authority to make any changes to the account but they cannot close the account. 

AS/ Authorized Signer: This person can do business on behalf of AO, and JO but cannot do business on their behalf. (Cannot negotiate checks made payable to them)

AC/ Associated Consumer: This person is a joint on a loan and is equaled responsible for the payment of the loan.

PA/ Power of Attorney: This person has been given the authority to act on behalf of account owner or joint owner.

PB/ Primary Beneficiary: This person or entity is chosen by the account owner to receive the funds in the event of their death.

SB/Secondary Beneficiary: This person of entity is chosen by the account owner to receive the funds in the event of account owner and PB’s death. 

CU/ Custodian: This person is appointed by the Social Security Admin; in this case the member has no access to the account.
